If you don't have expectations of something happening in a particular way, then you are not going to be disappointed if it doesn't happen or if it happens not as quickly or as well as you thought. So out with expectations I say! Especially if they relate to other people at all. For yourself, you can monitor your expectations and make them as realistic and goal oriented as you wish. Be kind to yourself, and if the fog of disappointment descends because you weren't watching, hit it over the head, breathe a sigh of gratitude and remember that it is there to remind you what not to do! have fun.
